At Smiles After the Storm, we believe that every child and family deserves moments of joy, even in the midst of hardship. Formerly the Massachusetts chapter of No Birthday Left Behind, our journey began with a simple mission: to bring the magic of birthdays to children living in homeless shelters.
Today, our vision has grown. While birthdays remain at the heart of what we do, we are committed to supporting families and children through all of life’s storms.

Smiles After the Storm is dedicated to supporting families and children during times of crisis or hardship by providing joy, relief, and hope through events, celebrations, and direct assistance. Whether it’s a birthday party, holiday adoption, or emergency support, we are committed to helping families rebuild smiles after life’s storms.
Looking For Assistance?
Whether you are seeking assistance as an organization or as an individual, Smiles After the Storm is here to help. We provide birthday celebration support to organizations looking to host monthly birthday parties for children, as well as to families who may be experiencing hardship due to medical challenges or unexpected financial circumstances beyond their control.
We offer flexible options to meet each family’s needs. Our team can coordinate and host a full birthday celebration, or we can provide a Birthday Party in a Box, allowing families or organizations to host the celebration themselves with everything they need included.
In addition to birthday celebrations, we offer emergency assistance to families facing sudden crises. This includes support for families temporarily displaced due to natural disasters, such as house fires, helping them navigate a difficult time with care and compassion.
Our goal is to bring moments of joy, relief, and hope to families and children when they need it most.
